The Southern New England Softball League provides a great atmosphere for anyone and everyone to learn and play softball in the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts areas.

Currently there are six teams in the league, providing everyone in Southern New England an opportunity to have fun, make friends and stay active.

The league is an active member of NAGAAA (The North American Gay Amateur Athletic Association).

Welcome to the 2012 season!!

This season brings us a few changes:

• Two separate divisions; competitive and recreational. The two divisions will primarily play against each other with limited out of division play
• New Team: Dev’s place in New London is on board with David Menard as the team manager
• New Sponsor: Pulse Nightclub in New Haven have jumped onboard as he 2nd sponsor in New Haven
• ASA has moved bases to 70 feet back from 65 feet. As a league SNE has decided to keep bases at 65 feet. This of course is out of our control when towns use permanent bases.
• Last season each team had 3 courtesy runners per game, this season teams have an unlimited amount. However this only applies to two players per team per game. Your manager will dictate who the two players are at the start of the game, these two players will have unlimited courtesy runners.
• New Assistant Commish. Pulse manager Jeremy Teele is now the AC

This Sunday we begin our journey in New London as David Menard and his new team play host on opening day. As you already know Mother Nature might throw a wrench in our plans. SNE will always attempt to cancel games on Saturday night when possible. If we are unable to make that determination we will let all managers know by 9 AM for non-New London teams. This week New London teams have a special early start so please check with your manager.

I hope the weather gives us a break and I see all of you at Dev’s Place following the games.
